Coronavirus update: Benefis Health sees decline in COVID-19 patients - Great Falls Tribune

The COVID-19 patient population at Benefis Health System went down by 39% since last week according to the hospital’s latest post on Facebook. 

All of the now 14 people hospitalized with the virus are unvaccinated. There are three people in the Intensive Care Unit, all of whom are on ventilators. 

Great Falls Public Schools reported that COVID-19 cases in the district dropped from 26 to 18 for the week ending in Nov. 19. C.M. Russell High School had the most reported positives with five cases.

The state posted 511 new COVID-19 cases on Monday, bringing Montana’s total active confirmed reports to 5,911.

Montana reported 2,567 total deaths, 20 additional deaths since Friday, and 266 active hospitalizations from the virus, five less than Friday, according to the state website covid19.mt.gov. 

Cascade County reported 25 new cases for a total of 800 cases in the county on Monday. There was another COVID-19 death in the county over the weekend, a vaccinated male in his 80s with underlying health conditions according to City-County Health Department spokesperson Ben Spencer. The state reported 257 total COVID-19 deaths in the county on Monday.

Of the eligible population to be vaccinated, 50% of the state is fully vaccinated and 46% of Cascade County is vaccinated. 

The first case of COVID-19 in Montana was reported on March 11, 2020.

Montana added 511 COVID-19 cases on Monday.

Yellowstone County added 101 cases on Monday, for a total of 1,239 cases. Gallatin County added 54 cases for a total of 370 cases, Flathead County added 48 cases for a total of 510 cases. Lewis and Clark County added 38 new cases for a total of 564 cases. Missoula County added 35 new cases for a total of 778 cases.
