Case rates and testing positivity (which are both provided as the average over seven days, lagging for a week to give time for more complete data to be factored in) are updated each Tuesday, reflecting data up to the prior day  for testing data, or same day for case data. Calculations are based on guidelines from the California Department of Public Health tier framework.

ZIP codes with less than 20 cases can result in unstable rate estimates and should be interpreted with caution.

Orange County’s overall test positivity rate is 3.3%. The adjusted daily case rate in the county is 4.9 per 100,000 residents.
